Front-End Engineer
Location: San Francisco, CA
Meraki seeks a superstar web front-end programmer to join our user interface team. We are developing innovative user interfaces to manage some of the world's biggest mesh networks and deliver compelling content to those networks' users.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain web-based interfaces for managing and visualizing large wireless mesh networks.
- Design, build, and maintain end-user content delivery mechanisms for news, community announcements, advertising, etc.
- Scale web site capacity to thousands of simultaneous users.
- Find and solve performance bottlenecks arising in various parts of the system, from client-side Javascript to the database back-end.
Requirements
- Awesome Javascript, CSS, and Ruby on Rails skills. You can make a browser do anything.
- Attention to detail and an eye for for information design and tasteful user interfaces. You know when something looks good.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
